Emerald Pothos
Emerald Pothos
The Emerald pothos is a hard-to-find cultivar from the Araceae family, also known as the arum family. This family includes other popular houseplants, such as philodendrons and monsteras. If you’re looking for Emerald pothos, watch out for different botanical names, like Epipremnum aureum ‘Emerald’, Aureum Emerald, E. Aureum Emerald, and Pothos Emerald. Don’t be deceived by its similar look to Jade pothos and Global Green pothos—these are distinct cultivars.
The variegation of Emerald and Global Green pothos may be difficult to tell apart. Closer inspection reveals the key difference--Emerald pothos have dark green centers and light green edges, whereas Global Green pothos have light green centers and dark green edges.
